Principle One, marking six years of remarkable growth and innovation, have embarked on a significant transition.

The company has moved from its original Tintagel House location to a new, strategically chosen office in The Corniche on Albert Embankment, an architectural marvel designed by Foster and Partners.

This move represents not just a change in location but a pivotal shift in the company's operational and cultural ethos. TDA Interiors has been instrumental in this journey, tasked with transforming the space into an environment that resonates with Principle One’s dynamic and collaborative spirit.

People

At the core of Principle One's ethos is a deep commitment to its people. Over the last six years, the team has expanded significantly, necessitating a workspace that could evolve with their growing needs.

Despite the global shift towards remote working, Principle One has consistently valued the importance of a physical office, recognising that face-to-face interactions are crucial for effective mentoring, project workshops, and brainstorming sessions.

This philosophy guided their decision in the design process, with TDA engaging every team member through a comprehensive workspace consultancy, ensuring the new office would be a true reflection of the collective spirit and needs of the Principle One team.

Space

The selection of the building, designed by Foster and Partners and located on Albert Embankment, is a testament to Principle One's strategic foresight.

The choice was driven by the building's proximity to key clients and its unique structure, which ideally suits Principle One’s requirements.

The Corniche provides double the desk space of their previous location and includes extensive areas for collaboration and meetings.

It’s the office’s layout – a blend of flexible and bookable spaces that cater to small team collaborations or longer-term projects – that stands out, embodying the company’s evolving approach to modern working environments.

TDA’s design philosophy for Principle One’s new office was to create an adaptable and agile workspace. The design embraces an ecosystem of various settings – open, closed, and connected – to support a range of work styles. The emphasis was on creating a space that was not only functional but also warm and inviting, with a colour palette and design elements that encourage comfort and interaction.

The breakout area, overlooking the Thames and equipped with thoughtfully chosen amenities, is poised to become the social heart of the office. Moreover, the inclusion of dedicated workshops and collaboration spaces aligns with Principle One’s focus on fostering creativity and team synergy.

As Principle One ventures into the future, their new space at The Corniche is set to be a cornerstone of growth, collaboration, and continued success.
